1. Never date a guy from Bogazici University. Apparently, they like to talk amongst themselves and compare notes on girls. I guess it's a blessing that I'm not attracted to them.
2. The trees and sidewalks are dangerous. Just the other day I was walking along and a tree decided to hit my head. Then, not five minutes later the sidewalk tripped me and I fell right on my butt. Ironically, "Fuck you" was engraved right where I landed. Terribly dangerous walking situations.
3. I don't have any classes in the main campus, aka the amazingly beautiful one. I got stuck with the two other campuses, one of them is a brisk 30 min walk away and the other is the ugliest of the three.
4. One of my teachers used to work for the department in ABA that I interned for last semester, so that's pretty cool.
5. There's a snack shop place in every building where I can get a cup of tea, bottle of water, and simit all for 1.5 lira.
6. The food is better and cheaper than anything GW will ever have to offer.
7. 3/4 of my teachers are always 5-10 minutes late for class, so that means I'm always on time!

Traveled Turkey in Two Days
Soo in an attempt to see everyone I know in Turkey, my parents made this great itinerary for us. We left Istanbul for Adana at 6am on Thursday and got there around 8 or 9ish. We went to my dad's aunts house to say hi and went to the cemetery to see my dad's uncle's grave. Then we saw my great grandfather and grandmother's graves. Then my uncle came and took us to our family village, which is about 40 minutes away. It was nice to see that everyone has a "European toilet" as opposed to a hole outside in an outhouse. When we got to my grandfather's house, my mom freaked out because my uncle cut down all the orange trees! It was sad. We proceeded to visit my cousin's family (the Boz's). That was nice too. Then my dad drove us to Imamoglu to see my other family members. The ride was hysterical. My father forgot how to drive stick and asked my uncle which pedal was the clutch. He stalled the car about 10 times and drove my uncle crazy. Afterwards we went to about 5 different places to see people, stayed in each place for about 10 minutes. Just enough time for tea and borek. Then we drove back to Adana, had dinner, and went to my dad's aunts house. From there we got on a plane and went to Ankara. Stayed the night and day. Then took an overnight bus back to Istanbul, just in time for Valentine's Day.
Now I'm finally at school =)
My roommates are cool (not as cool as Marta of course). One is Turkish and the other is Turkish but from Germany. So all is good and well. It just won't stop raining. And it's such a long walk to my campus... my department is the furthest from my dorm!

Love my school, but second thoughts
I registered into the school and dorm... it's amazing and beautiful. Oh! And I live in a 3 person suite and each of us get our own room. My individual room has more storage space than I had in FSK. It's pretty sweet. The only down side is that it's about a 20 minute walk from campus... let's hope I make it to class.
BUT my mom won't let me live there yet because she wants to hang out with me until she leaves. And my uncle plans on picking me up every weekend and taking me to his house. I don't know how I feel about choosing Istanbul as a study abroad place anymore... too much family.
And I got a phone today.. It's tiny and cute. Other than that, just been chilling with my cousin's adorable kids and the grandparents.

Last Day Jitters
So I was inspired by DJ and thought this was the best way to keep everyone updated.
Currently trying to pack my life into two suitcases with a 50lb limit and finding it pretty difficult. Each time I decide to unpack a certain article of clothing, my heart breaks. I debated bringing about 4 suitcases and just spending the extra money, but instead I figured that extra money could be spent on new clothes.
